Adventures In The Making

Hello Everyone!

This is my NMSI Family Garden. Each different flower represents a support amount as well as a family that serves with NMSI. There are 35 petals in all. That is just skimming the surface of over the 200 missionaries that are part of the NMSI family.  The amounts all adds up to what I have left to raise monthly to enter into the mission field with New Mission Systems International. I would love your help to spread the word or even become a part of my team by joining my ministry. I’m hoping to have others come along side me in this journey and be a part of God’s Kingdom work. I have the honor and privilege of serving the missionaries and their families at their Center for Global Outreach once fully funded. Please go to www.nmsi.org and check out the families that are serving not only all over the world but state side as well.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom Shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8

OK, so I have to get on my soapbox here for a moment. It makes me sick to my stomach the direction the use of technology has gone and how people are choosing to use forms of social media.

I was getting ready for work the other day and in passing heard on the news how gang members used facebook to invite people to come and see a shooting. OK, wait just a minute, am I the only one who thinks this is just absolutely ridiculous. Facebook has been used for hate and bulling and now we can add killing to the list of horrible things that have happened with the use of social media to provoke or promote. Then just yesterday me and my friend Talicia were out doing some shopping and came out of Michaels to what we thought was someone being attacked but then after heading towards the action and pulling out my phone ready to call the cops, we see that this woman is being apprehended for shoplifting. She was making a scene and just off to the side there was a young guy recording it all on his phone. You can probably go to youtube and see the whole thing go down.

Here is the one that takes the cake. After witnessing the shoplifting incident, later that night I was taking with my father about what had happened and he proceeded to tell me that on the news he heard about how a person got the crap beat out of them. It happened in a Mcdonalds by these two woman after a confrontation in a bathroom. The whole thing was caught on tape by an employee. So instead of calling the cops and trying to help the person, they watched the whole thing go down and recorded it on their phone…..DISGUSTING.

It makes me sad for our world, that this is the direction we are headed for. People have become so desensitized from video games and slasher movies. I feel like no one has a moral conscious anymore. I think of how God looks down on us and His heart breaks for all the destruction and hate that goes on in the world. Then I have to stop and remember that He is in control and we all have the power to make a difference. Please don’t sit back and not take action when you see injustice in the world. Pray for our world and be willing to stick your neck out for your fellow man or woman. I have to remind myself everyday that even the littlest actions can make a big difference in so many ways.

Fun times with friends, cupcakes, good music, iced tea, In & Out. I love the opportunity to bless others, being creative, taking pictures, enjoying my surroundings, cereal, frozen yogurt…..

Calvin, can I have one of those? I love graham crappers. What?! I think it takes the cake of silly things that come out of my mouth. I won’t hold my breath though:) there will be a new one tomorrow.

Realizing how AWESOME God is. I know and always knew that He was awsome, but reaching a point in my life where I can look back and see how He has blessed me and thoes around me. Understanding why my life has turned out the way it has and enjoying my journey is very freeing.

I started doing this tumbler thing not really knowing why. Journaling is not something that I’m good at. I have lots of notebooks with the first few pages written in and that’s it. I hope that whoever reads my thoughts and opinions along with funny stories and just plain randomness can take something from it all.

Enjoy God’s presence all around you in everything you take part in. From breathing to brushing your teeth. Don’t continue to let the world suck the life out of you. I was looking in a journal that I started to write in over a year ago. A lot of what was written down were words from songs. It is funny how I could relate the words from the songs to my relationship with God…..Your love is a secret that my heart can’t keep…from this moment on Lord help me to not waste my energy on what the world wants from me, but give me the strenght to share your LOVE with the world, EVERYDAY.

Chocolate, blueberries, spending time with friends and fam, glee, being crafty:)….to be continued.
